You don’t have to sign up as an intern to attend Volunteer Learning Sessions!…updated October 12They’re free, just sign up for a session here!

What are you interested in learning this season?

Due to the Covid Pandemic, there are changes to the program and Sessions. We’ve shortened the sessions since the house (bathroom) is only available for emergencies. Go before you go, lol.

We’re all about the growing and spreading sustainable herbs. You can see more about this garden on the U Pick page … we are sustainable and incorporating permaculture principles as we learn! During and after the outdoor growing season we put our harvest into health-conscious dried herb products including culinary arrangements and blends, wellness teas and blends, and aromatic bath and sachet products. February starts the growing season again indoors.

Products start in the garden, dried naturally in the drying room

Volunteers, either Students or Non-Students usually take home sample herbs and get 50% off of dried herb products from the store after 12 hours of contribution. When you sign up for any internship, we’ll keep track of your hours so you can apply them to any program where they will be applicable. After 12 hours of volunteering you get 50% off in our store for as long as you’re active. Learn and grow with us! Check out the documents below, then write us an email or fill out the contact form below answering these questions: You can copy and paste these in your email or contact form.

VOLUNTEER LEARNING SESSIONS ARE FOR ANYONE

Indoor Volunteer Learning Sessions

Hours are listed below for each month.
When you arrive, we’ll meet at the Crafting room. We will work together there on wellness herb projects. You’ll be working with myself or another knowledgeable intern so ask away while we work! Most jobs will be specific to categories of herbs so you can get familiar with them personally. Even if we’re not in the growing mode, we’re happy to share our knowledge of herbs we process too!

Receive your $8 appreciation gift certificate of a free bag of herbs during the U Picks this year or toward a purchase in the Crafting room.
Outdoor Volunteer Learning Sessions

Hours are listed below for each month.
When you arrive, you’ll be given a plant key and assigned a task to work with a partner. Most jobs will be specific to rows (there are 20) so you can get familiar with categories of herbs personally.
